Having joined Azercosmos in 2015 with an aim to develop the vision and strategy for the new directions within the company’s scope, such as Marketing and Business Development, Mr. Fuad Aslanov made a substantial impact on the growth and streamlining of business processes. During his tenure as the Director of Marketing, Business Development and Sales department, he significantly contributed to the activities of Azercosmos by developing the business models for new SatCom solutions and products, advanced the revenue growth, and transformed the Azercosmos teleport into a widely recognized international centre by establishing solid partnerships and cooperative ties within the global space telecommunication industry.

Since his appointment as a Vice-chairman of Azercosmos, Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022, Mr. Aslanov acts as the Chief Commercial Officer and leads Azercosmos in developing new business lines and strengthening international cooperation. He is in charge of identifying and establishing new, long-term business opportunities for the purpose of supporting the company’s core capabilities through enhancing commercial activity.

He was the member of the Telia Sonera Eurasia Analytical Competence Team and Telia Sonera International Mobile Pool in 2010-2014.

Fuad Aslanov holds an MA degree in Economics from Central European University, Hungary, a mini-MBA in Telecom Business and Communication Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and a BA degree in Economic Cybernetics from Baku State University.
