Space Generation Azerbaijan (SG Azerbaijan) event will be held for the first time in Azerbaijan under the organization of Azercosmos and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC).
The event dedicated to the topic of "Women in space: challenges and opportunities" will be organized on April 27 at ADA University.
Every year in the world, the fourth day of the last week of April is celebrated as International Girls in ICT Day. The purpose of this significant day, which falls on April 27 this year, is to attract girls to the field of information and communication technologies and support their role in this field.
The main goal of the SG Azerbaijan event is to guide young people in the right education and career choice in the space field and to educate them about the opportunities of the space field. As a matter of fact, there are already professional women in Azerbaijan who work as satellite engineers, lawyers, economists and satellite image specialists.
At the SG Azerbaijan event, students from all regions of Azerbaijan, young specialists and scientists, and space enthusiasts with come together. Within the framework of the event, participants will have the opportunity to participate in space science and technology sessions, panel discussions, webinars, master classes and networking.
