The "Space Mentorship for Women" program, announced within the framework of the partnership between the Space Commerce Institute and Azercosmos, has concluded.
In his speech at the closing ceremony of the program, Vice-Chairman of Azercosmos, Dunay Badirkhanov, emphasized the role of women in the development of the space sector, noting that one in three employees at Azercosmos is a woman. He congratulated the participants who successfully completed the mentorship program.
Joining in the congratulations, Director of the Strategy and Business Development Department of Azercosmos, Natavan Hasanova, stated that the program received over 150 applications. According to her, this number is a clear indicator of the interest of women in Azerbaijan in the national space sector.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates and gifts were presented to the graduates of the "Space Mentorship for Women" program: Gandab Mammadova, Hajar Naghiyeva, Aysel Ibrahimova, and Khanim Azimova.
It is worth mentioning that this mentorship program, held for the first time in our country and lasting three months, aimed to uncover the full potential of women in the space field and to support their participation in global cooperation.
