At the 76th International Astronautical Congress hosted by Sydney, Australia, a National Scientific Team consisting of 52 students, young specialists, and scientists actively participated in the scientific sessions.
This year’s international event, dedicated to the theme “Sustainable Space: A Sustainable Earth,” saw Azerbaijani youth delivering scientific presentations on space research, communication and navigation technologies, future space strategies, safety and sustainability of space activities, Earth observation technologies, small satellite missions, and space education. In addition to presenting their research, young researchers engaged in discussions with the international scientific community, exchanging ideas and debating the challenges and opportunities for the future of space.
A total of 632 scientific papers were submitted from Azerbaijan to the Sydney Congress, reflecting the country’s growing scientific potential in this field.
The participation of the National Scientific Team in this congress was made possible by the organization of the SPACE Academy of Azercosmos, with the support of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SABAH groups, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Azerbaijan Airlines.
The involvement of Azerbaijani youth in such a large-scale international event demonstrates our country’s rising scientific potential in the space sector, the strong interest of the younger generation in this field, and Azerbaijan’s well-deserved representation on the international scientific stage.
