Organized by Azercosmos’ SPACE Academy, students aged 9-16 from Dunya School, Landau School, and Education Complex No. 132-134 visited Türkiye's renowned Space Camp Türkiye from November 16-21. As part of the "Outer Space Adventure" project, a team of 25 students learned about space science, gained new experiences, and participated in various scientific activities.
The main goal of the project is to provide students with in-depth knowledge in the field of space science and create opportunities for them to gain practical experience in scientific discoveries.
During the camp, participants engaged in various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) training sessions. These included astronaut simulator training, lunar flight missions, Mars colonization, hydroponics, aeronautics, and aerospace training. The students also completed various space-themed tasks that helped develop their teamwork and leadership skills.
Students who successfully participated in the program were awarded international certificates by Space Camp Türkiye.
Space Camp Türkiye, operating in Izmir since June 12, 2000, is the second such camp in the world after the space camp in Alabama, USA. Every year, this camp hosts over 260,000 participants aged 9-16 and offers STEAM training and practical sessions to students from over 60 countries. Space Camp Türkiye is licensed by the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission.
Such projects not only enhance the space science knowledge and skills of Azerbaijani students at the international level but also strengthen their interest in scientific activities.
