The official results of the scientific abstracts selection process for the 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), set to be held in Sydney, Australia, from September 29 to October 3, 2025, have been announced.
A total of 205 scientific abstracts from Azerbaijan have been accepted by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF). Of these, 166 abstracts were submitted by members of Azerbaijan’s National Scientific Team and successfully passed the first-stage quality screening conducted by Azercosmos’ SPACE Academy.

These figures underscore the growing influence, professionalism, and dedication of Azerbaijan’s scientific community within the international research arena.
It is noteworthy that a total of 632 abstracts were submitted from Azerbaijan for the 2025 Congress. With this figure, Azerbaijan ranks among the top three countries worldwide in terms of the number of submissions.
This year’s Congress, held under the theme “Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth,” will feature abstracts that explore the role of space technologies in supporting sectors such as finance, industry, agriculture, construction, urban planning, ICT, and more. The submissions focus on how space-based solutions can drive progress toward a digital, green, and resilient future.
