
On December 20, an award ceremony was held on the occasion of the successful completion of the Training of Trainers (TOT) program within the framework of the "Azerbaijan National Satellite Innovation Competition". The competition is organized by the Azercosmos’ SPACE Academy, with the support of the Digital Development and Innovation Agency, Pasha Holding, the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Agency for Preschool and General Education, the Brazilian Space Agency, and IDEIA Space.
As part of the Training of Trainers (TOT) program, 85 facilitator teachers participated in the trainings held on December 16-20, 2024 and successfully completed the program. The teachers were awarded official certificates during the ceremony. The training sessions were conducted under the guidance of experts from the Brazilian IDEIA Space company.
In collaboration with IDEIA Space, students will acquire knowledge and skills in space technologies according to international standards and will participate in practical experiences.
Within the framework of the Azerbaijan National Satellite Innovation Competition, students will launch a PocketQube pico-satellite into space orbit with a carrier rocket in 2025. The project aims to direct the younger generation toward space research, enhance their technical knowledge, and strengthen Azerbaijan's position in the field of space.
During the event, the ceremony of signing of the cooperation agreement and a memorandum of understanding between Azerkosmos and the Brazilian IDEIA Space company was also held. The signed agreement and memorandum will serve as a foundation for the implementation of larger-scale projects in the future.
