Azerbaijani Young Scientists Continue Their Sessions at the International Astronautical Congress

The scientific sessions of Azerbaijani students continue at the 75th International Astronautical Congress, hosted in Milan.

In line with the theme of the congress, "Space Responsibility for Sustainability," the young participants are presenting their research and approaches on topics such as bioengineering, carbon management in microgravity environments, the impact of space conditions on the human body, physiotherapy in space, legal regulations in space, life sciences in space, satellite missions, and Earth observation. Nearly 2,400 scientific articles are being presented across 200 technical sessions at the Milan Congress. A national scientific team, consisting of around 50 students, young specialists, and scientists, is interacting with their international peers in these sessions, exchanging ideas about the future of space.

It is important to mention that the national scientific team is representing our country on a global platform, organized by Azercosmos' “SPACE Academy”, with support of “SABAH Groups”, a project of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

Additionally, over 11,000 participants from 120 countries have attended the Milan Congress. Alongside Azerbaijan’s Space Agency, the European Space Agency, NASA, and the space agencies of Turkey, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, India, Japan, Germany, and others are also present. The Milan Congress is highlighting the latest trends in space exploration with its rich program, featuring interactive sessions on innovation, public-private partnerships in space, NASA's "Artemis Accords" lunar mission, space exploration from the Moon to Mars, medical research in space, space business and investment, entrepreneurship, the space economy, and the value of space resources.
