Türkiye's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı was a guest at the SPACE Academy

On April 24, 2025, Alper Gezeravcı, Türkiye's first astronaut, was a guest at the SPACE Academy of Azercosmos, during his visit to Baku. The visit took place within the framework of the Space Technologies Conference, hosted by Azercosmos.

During the meeting and seminar held at the SPACE Academy, Alper Gezeravcı shared his experiences with the participants. He gave a detailed presentation about Türkiye's Astronaut Program, the multi-phase and intensive training process, international collaborations, as well as the technical and psychological challenges of space travel.

During the event, Gezeravcı also touched upon the role of human willpower and commitment to goals in achieving success in life, encouraging young people to show interest in science, technology, and space exploration.

Alper Gezeravcı's speech was met with great interest by the seminar participants. At the end of his presentation, he answered the questions of the young audience, took a commemorative photo with them, and held an autograph session.
